In 2017 I was unhappy, stressed out, and not handling my emotions well at all. I was dealing with some emotions from my childhood experiences that had risen to the surface, working outside the home part time and stressed about balancing being a wife and mum, and really unhappy my job. My hormones were a rollercoaster every month and I felt out of control. I cried alot, and all the time, and it was impacting on my marriage and my kids so much. I was doing all the things I knew to do to look after myself - getting enough sleep, exercising, eating well, and seeing a psychologist. But I was still finding life so hard to manage.
I had no experience with natural health or essential oils prior to this and was incredibly sceptical when a friend shared with me an essential oils roller to use in an attempt to help my stretched emotional state. Honestly, I didn't touch it for about 4 months. Eventually, realising I had nothing to lose, I spent two weeks rolling it on my neck and wrists.....and then one morning found myself playing with my two daughters, laughing and relaxed. It was a state of being that had been foreign to me for many, many, months. That moment was life changing for me, and I launched into using essential oils to meet me own personal needs and also the needs of my family - emotions, immunity, hormones, skin issues, head tension - you name it...we now use oils for it!

SO what are Essential Oils?
By definition, essential oils are the vital (and aromatic) fluids of a plant, shrub, root, herb, flower, seed or tree. You can think of the oil as a plant's "immune system" -- it is essential to the lifer and health of the plant. Oils are typically extracted through careful steam distillation that ensures all the important, therapeutic, and health-giving constituents of the oil remain intact. When their purity is maintained during careful extraction, essential oils become far more powerful than the botanicals from which they were originally sourced.
They are used to flavour foods and can be found in things like toothpaste and mouthwash to give it that minty kick. Oils are in perfumes, skin care products, and many places that you wouldn't guess - but not all oils are created equally. Oils found in food and cosmetics are typically synthetic, so your body processes it as a toxin. Synthetic oils are harder to break down and can be stored in fat cells. These types of synthetic oils work against your body.
